Family Ministry...
Agape' provides support meetings to offer encouragement to families and to help them build new relationships with other families; crisis benevolence (meal preparation, hospital visitation, telephone contact for prayer and encouragement); family activities for registered families (holiday parties, outings, picnics, a children's bowling league and other gatherings); and a Mother's Bible Study.
Day Habilitation ...
Agape's Day Habilitation Program helps provide individuals with satisfying and rewarding individuals for inclusion within their communities. Each participant works on individual goals and activities on a daily basis according to their wants, needs and future desires.
Residential Habilitation...
Residential Habilitation services enhance the skills necessary for an individual to perform activities that occur in their home and community. These activities can include (but are not limited to) socialization, communication, housekeeping skills, hygiene, money skills, safety skills, improved use of leisure time and behavior skills.
Respite...
Respite services provide parents with relief from the daily demands of caring for their developmentally disabled family member while offering the individual with the level of care necessary to meet their needs.
Education Advocacy...
Agape' provides Special Education Advocacy to ensure that children with developmental disabilities receive the educational services to which they are entitled.
Creative Family Resources...
Agape' coordinates a New York State grant to provide financial assistance for necessary goods and services to individuals with developmental disabilities residing at home with their families. Applications are reviewed by a committee panel.
Medicaid Service Coordination...
Medicaid Service Coordination is a Medicaid State Plan which assists individuals with developmental disabilities and their families in accessing services and support appropriate to the needs of the person.
Adaptive Technologies / Environmental Modifications:
Adaptive and environmental mofifications include such items as ramps, lifts, bathroom modifications, communication aids and adaptive aids.
